Mariama: I’m reading magic tomes by the pool when I hear a crackling sound. Oh! Sam got electrocuted while upgrading a stereo speaker! Seriously fried at that!
Sam: I suddenly get a message from Grim saying I just had a “Close Encounter with Deaht.” I forgot that I have the Chased by Death trait. Grim insists I’m standing on death’s doorstep from pushing the line and living dangerously. Huh, you can’t scare me, Grim!
Tae: Fenrir, your recent promotion has you working on Tuesday, the day that Alej and I have scheduled our Vow Renewal Ceremony. So, as Dynasty Head, I'll phone in to arrange a promotion for my boi.
Fenrir: Yes, I’ve maxed my career!
Tae: Yo, don’t forget to take Tuesday off!
Sam: I forgot all about my Dazed +40 moodlet and go on some space mission, crashing the rocket ship. Immediately, Grim sends me a “Final Warning,” saying I’m “walking on very, very thin ice.” Luckily, this was my fifth space mission. No more space exploration or electrical upgrades for me, ever!
(Later at the Graduation Ceremony)
Sam: Um, Mari? I thought you were the Valedictorian tonight?
Mari: Oh yeah! I’ve been practicing my Valedictorian Speech every chance I get. Watcher’s first Valedictorian sim in 2023 never practiced and gave an awful speech! I’m her second Valedictorian ever and I’m going to give an awesome speech! Watcher’s gonna be so proud of me! You all will be proud of me!
Fenrir: Don’t kill the messenger, sis, but did you see Coralie behind us?
Mari: What the fudge? Why’s she tagged as Valedictorian when her profile rightfully tags her as “Graduated with Honors.” I’m the one with the Valedictorian trait–I should have that Valedictorian tag!
The sheer audacity of Coralie! She sits there thinking of me, knowing how much I wanted and practiced to be Valedictoran, as she wears that gleeful schadenfreunde smirk!
She is not getting away with this!
Mari: It should be me up there, giving the Valedicatorian Speech. Instead, she’s like, “Oh yeah, I’m the one who actually deserves to be Valedicatorian!” *casts Inferniate
Fenrir (whispers to Sam): What’s with those flames on Coralie’s sleeve?
Mari: *casts a few Zipzap and Inferniate spells
Coarlie: *descends from the stage
Mari: And give me back my friendship bracelet, you snake!
Fenrir: Don’t mind Mari yelling at Coralie behind you, Dona. I want us to build a life together, Donal. Will you marry me?
Dona (thinking): Fenrir has an awful sense of timing and romantic atmosphere, but I love him and Sasuke to pieces adn this ring is gorgeous.
Fenrir: Do you need more time to think about it?
Dona: Yes, Fenrir, yes! I absolutely want to marry you!

When I noticed that Coarlie Thebe was tagged as Valedictorian while Mariama was demoted to a mere "Graduate," I briefly considered reloading my save to give Mariama the chance to give the Valedictorian Speech that she's so diligently practiced. But the game tagging Coralie as Valedictorian when her profile clearly states she "Graduated with Honors" was so preposterous that I decided to roll with it. Um, Imight've gotten a little carried away with my idea of petty revenge...
