Your Mother's a Lllama

Winter, Monday (Feb 15)

In the late afternoon, I cook up four servings of Ambrosia. It really hurts to spend so many satisfaction points on Potions of Youth, but I’m not sure if convincing a ghost to buy my Ambosia will go smoothly. Probably not.

Tuesday

While living in Copperdale, I fished up two Gemstone seeds near my home. When moving to Mt. Komorebi, I left behind the Crystal Tree I’d grown from one of those seeds. Thanks to the new Crystal Tree, grown here from the second seed, I completed my first-ever collection this morning.

My non-bonus Garden collection’s only missing a UFO plant now. Since my home lot has no room for a rocket ship, I’ll use the one at GeekCon today. Don’t want Juwon to get bored, so I gift him both a guitar and a violin. I know he definitely likes guitar but so does every other guy in our extended Crew, so Juwon has options.

Odds are against my getting a UFO plant from a GeekCon space mission today, but a sim can dream, right?

There’s my Juwon. Not at all surprised he chose the guitar.

As I approach the launch pad, I spot Juwon chatting with a female sim in a llama costume, then they both stand to hug. I’m ready to jump out                                                of the rocket ship to snatch Juwon out of her arms when I realize who it is: Brytani Cho. I never told Juwon that she’s my birth mother. How does Juwon know her?

Now, she’s giving Juwon her autograph. Oh, Juwon must be a fan of hers and asked for that hug. Suddenly, I feel the urgent need to introduce myself to my birth mother. As soon as the rocket ship lands, I wrench open the door and run over to her.

Good grief, I’m attempting to introduce myself and making a total idiot of myself. Is she frowning at me? I’ve never had anyone frown at me in my life! I’m about to ask her for a selfie so I’ll have at least a photo of us together, but she vanishes without a word. Darn it!

Back home, Juwon heads straight for a pottery wheel and starts throwing a new item. When I go to mentor him, I get a big surprise. I have level 8 Pottery, but it seems Juwon leveled past me while I was busy working on my aspiration yesterday. He must really love pottery. All I have to do is move his pottery from the wheel to the kiln, and he glazes it on his own.

Juwon: You’re usually so confident and debonair, but you were acting so oddly this afternoon. What happened when you tried to introduce yourself to Brytani Cho?
Tae: It’s a long story that I haven’t shared with anyone in the crew.
Juwon: Do you trust me enough to talk about it?
Tae: Not tonight, Juwon, but perhaps someday in the near future.
