Mama Was a Rolling Stone

Wednesday, Spring in Tartosa (Oct 29)

Miso: Ugh, I wish this was over already! I’m a Free Spirit but I’m doing this so Zorro will have a part of me when, well, later.

Tae: I’m mentoring Sam in Fitness when we hear the news that Anzu has given birth. Let’s go, folks!

The orange male pup Bo and the mini-Sasuke female pup Cutie are both so adorable! If I could pick one, I’d definitely choose Cutie!

Mariama: Back home, I’d just scheduled our wedding party when Miso gives birth. Oh, they are so precious!
Alej: Here they are with Mama Miso. We name the girl on the left Salsa.
The boy on the right is Toro, which is the primo fatty tuna used in sushi as well as the Spanish word for bull.

Zorro: My little Toro, you have the Free Spirit trait just like your mother Miso! But please  never wander far from home, you hear? We would all worry!
And you, Salsa! Your coat's the same color as Miso but you’re Clever instead of a Free Spirit!

Mari: Just a simple wedding our backyard. Sam and I were planning to elope, but my fathers really wanted us to exchange vows with the family present. We’re glad now that we listened to them.

Mari: Sam, I will always love you.
Sam: The moment we met, I knew in my heart that you were The One.

Mari: We saw most of these same guests at my fathers’ Vow Renewal Ceremony. Sam, do you think theyre just trying to offload all of their impeccable-qualty party food before we move?

Miso (to herself): Looks everyone else finally went to bed! I’ll just leave my note for Zorro next to his pet bowl.

Miso: Are you ready to hit the road Toro?
Toro: But I don’t want to leave Papa, Salsa, and that lady who fed me Cubed Carcass Carcetti! Why do we have to leave?
Miso: Because you and I, we’re Free spirits, son. We can’t stay here!

(The next morning)
Zorro: I found Miso’s note in the kitchen this morning but I still can’t believe she’s gone and took Toro, Tae! Why start a family with me if she was always planning to leave me?

Tae: I’m so sorry about your heartbreak, Zorro. You know we’re all here for you!
Zorro: 😭

Sam: You know that old nursery rhyme, K-I-S-S-I-N-G?
Mari: Sure, who doesn’t? “ First comes love, then comes marriage…”
Sam: “Then comes a baby in a baby carriage.” Whaddya say, boo?

Mari: Hey, I’ve been thinking about that, too! What if we have a science baby?
Sam: Cool! Please phone that in right now!
Mari: Which shall I choose, Sam? An instant baby or a 3-day pregnancy?
Sam: Definitely a pregnancy–you’ll be a gorgeous mama!

Salsa: But why did Mama leave us, Papa? Why couldn’t she love us more? What did I do wrong?
Zorro: You didn’t do anything wrong, sugar. I don’t think I did either. Your mama was a rolling stone.

Watcher’s Note:
*Post title: Y’all are surely too young to recognize that “Mama Was a Rolling Stone” is a parody of the 1970s soul classic “Papa Was a Rolling Stone” by the Temptations. I played this song on a loop while writing this post because the song’s a total groove. 🪩
