Thursday, Fall in Vista Hermosa (Jun 6)
Alej: I find our first Axolotl this morning at the park in our neighborhood. We’re thinking of skipping this collection, because it’s too hard for Watcher to spot them.
Tae: We completely forgot about switching to the Romantic Explorer aspiration, working instead on Super Parent instead. Alej teaches Yuna how to apologize while I encourage her. (We've since both switched to Romantic Explorer.)
Tae: Today, I’m the one with 4 hours' worth of WfH assignments; Alej gets off easy with only 3 hours. At least, our long assignments give the toddlers to learn skills. Xica and Kenji playing in the tent.
Davi will be the first to max all his toddler skills. He only needs a few more skill points in Thinking.
Grandma Jiwoo has really come around, autonomously taking care of the kids and cleaning. She and Grandpa Shoji have befriended all four toddlers.
We’d planned to take the toddlers to meet Irene and Wolfie this afternoon, but decide instead to take the kids sledding in Mt. Komorebi. (Enjoy the peace and quiet while you can, Irene and Wolfie!)
On the Bunny Slopes, Yuna and I go up a low ramp that sends us flying.
This is both Alej’s first visit to Mt. Komorebi and his first experience with snow sports.
He and Davi look like they’re having fun!
Look, Pa, no hands! This is how sledding off a ramp is supposed to work! Kenji looks thrilled!
Alej: Xica has let go of our sled’s sides but I’m not taking any chances!
Alej: Back home, the kids are taking potty breaks and having dinner. As I check the household, I notice that Sasuke is terrified. Oh! While walking Sasuke, Lou has transformed into a werewolf just before returning to our home. I run out to him to Soothe the Beast.
Alej: After calming down awhile, though, Lou starts glowing red again so I Soothe the Beast a second time before he transforms. I guess Lou needs to be enraged but not necessarily transform? I don’t know but the whole fairy/werewolf synergy really intrigues me.
Another odd thing. After Lou calms down the second time, Yuna comes out talk to me and ends up chatting with Lou as well, just two or three socials. Once Lou leaves, I check Yuna’s social panel. She has max friendship with exactly three sims: Tae, me, and Lou.
Obviously, I’ll hire Lou again and have Davi and Xica (our other fairy children) interact with Lou too. Is it a fairy/werewolf affinity thing? But I’m also a fairy yet Lou and I are only acquaintances…
Watcher’s Notes:
*Mail delivery: Replacing the unobstructed mailbox did nothing, so I shift-clicked on the new mailbox and selected “Deliver Mail.” That works as long as I repeat the shift-clicking when I want Tae or Alej to get the mail. (Paying the bills works as usual.)
*The “Negotiate a Bonus” option on the phone is also broken. I checked the EA Forum and there’s a bug report on this issue from two months ago. *sighs
