Four’s a Party

 Thursday, Summer in Everdew (May 24)

(Upon returning from Granite Falls)

Tae: So, you want to have a baby with me, Alej?

Alej: Of course, I want to! But I thought you needed more time to think about it.

Tae: Well, after Watcher explained our situation to a good friend of hers, he  replied, “Yes, I’d have the happy couple bring in the 4th baby.” Are you ready for a science baby?

Tae: We bring home a little boy, which is exactly what we’d wanted.

Tae: The next morning, I treat a patient (Mr. Morlind) at home for my first and last time. I skip the last two steps of his diagnosis and cure his Greenie Meanie aliment. My workday ends with lackluster praise that I “did a decent job,” but I get a raise anyway. From now on, Alej and I will only be working from home.

Brytani: What’s wrong with you, Tae? You’ve been carrying Xica around for the last two hours. She needs a diaper change!

Tae: I dunno. I just can’t bring myself to go to the changing table.
Brytani: Now you’ve done it! Xica had a diaper blowout! Why can’t you be more like Alej?
Tae: Mama, Alej and I are raising our babies together! It’s not a competition!

Alej: About 24 hours after we brought our boy home, we age him up to an infant. Tae named him Kenji, which can be shortened to “Ken.”

Tae: Kenji aged up with cheeky stud earrings like Alej, so we kept them with most of his outfits. Also, Davi and Xica have Alej’s grey eyes, so we gave Kenji my violet eyes.

(The next day)

Tae: We’d been cruising with three infants but a fourth infant makes babycare so much harder! Yuna and Davi have already earned all their infant milestones, so we convert our never-used apothecary office into a 2nd nursery for them. We want only our two youngest–Xica and Kenji–to benefit from our plumbite gemstone.

Xica is a Babbler who just enjoyed her first finger food, Banana Slices.

Kenji looks like he’s had enough of tummy time for now.

Watcher: Goodness gracious, Kenji is so adorable!

Watcher's Note: I seriously didn't expect for Tae and Alej to have four kids so quickly. But they are all so cute--I was quite helpless to resist, lol. Oh, they've been abducted four times each, so no more satellite dish or alien abductions for them!
