Summer 14, Sat (Apr 1)
Tae: By the time Chiyo and I are completely unpacked and sell off any duplicate furnishings, it’s past 2pm. I have a good feeling about our new home!
Confession: I’m breaking a challenge rule today. Instead of switching to the Critter Hunter aspiration, I’m going to finish my Master Chef aspiration first. Look, only one more goal left!
Our lot is right on the water and we can wade into a swimming area from that pier. I try different ways to get Sasuke in the water.
I even try Carly’s tip about using Fetch but I can only throw the ball on the pier.
Close to 7:30, I see a Welcome Wagon has arrived and return home.
One of our new neighbors brought a platter of Fried Jellyfish, so I place it on our dining table and call everyone to a meal. That’s when I realize that a Welcome Wagon visit counts as a social event.
Tae: Using prepped veggies, I quickly prepare three single-serving Caprese Salads. Hey, where’s my flash that I completed Master Chef?
Watcher: Oh, sorry! I was checking whether Chiyo needed to introduce herself to any of the new neighbors.
Tae: Since I’m already in the kitchen, I made a gourmet pet meal for Zorro. Since Chiyo took over gardening to max her Gardening skill and we have four pets, we’ve agreed that she’d make gourmet meals for Mia and Kali whereas I’d make them for Sasuke and Zeroo.
Gah, Zorro is so cute! But I can't keep him forever, sadly.
Tae: And since I’m already outside (sorry, Chiyo!), I want to try another idea to get Sasuke in the water. I wade into the water, then choose “Swim with…Sasuke.” You can do it, Sasuke! Come join me!
Tae: This is the life, eh, Sasuke? Sasuke: Woof!
Chiyo: Good grief, how much longer will our neighbors stay? And where the heck did Tae go?
Tae: I call Sasuke out of the water we head together back home, where I see our neighbors finally leaving. No, Sasuke, stop asking for a walk. Two hours of swimming should count for at least one short walk.
Tae: Really!? You're visiting me for the first time at this hour?
Unknown sim: Welcome to the neighborhood!
Tae: Listen, we’re just minutes away from midnight! Ain’t nobody got time for a “pirate booty” call on their first day in a new town.
Neighbor: If we wait a few more minutes, it’ll be your second day!
