Giving Thanks

Chiyo: Tae’s trying to collect all the Magic Beans without buying any Rare Seed Packets. But Patchy’s been broken for over a week, so we couldn’t examine his pockets. Today, I trash that Patchy, buy a new one, and befriend him. Wish us luck with the Magic Beans!

I’m still stuck on Friend of the Animal’s 2nd milestone and need to train out one more pet mishehavior. I have high hopes for Kali on the kitchen counter, but she disappoints me today.

Chiyo: Meanwhile, Tae’s fixing our broken kitchen sink when he calls out Sasuke for playing in the puddle. Wow, Tae, you’ve reached Friend of the Animal’s third milestone now?

Tae: Yeah, I switched to Friend of the Animals last night, since I can’t catch the Crypid Moth until the weekend. *coughs

Tae: Rowan phones this morning to ask how he should respond when Honey proposes. Naturally, I encourage him to say yes. What happy news!

Chiyo: I’d taken my laptop wth me to the Cooking Competition, because my Postcard collection was only missing two postcards. Whenever I had 10 minutes or so free, I checked on my penpals and asked for postcards. And the last two arrive today!

After spaying Kali then spending the afternoon at my gemology table, we head to Britechester. Sasuke standing on his hind legs seems to be his new party trick.  Sass and Rowan look so cute holding hands! Er…paws and hands.

Tae: Here’s a gift to thank you for your stellar job at the Cooking Competition. 

Honey:  I love gifts!

Tae: I know you just got engaged, but this gemstone will be handy when you and Rowan have infants then toddlers to raise. You can teach them longer because their need decay will slow down so much. They’ll hardly need to sleep!

Honey: But what if Rowan and I want a break from the babies?
Tae: That’s easy. Just move the gemstone away from them.

Chiyo: From there, we visit the house where Carly, Cebolla, and Irene live with their pets. When Zorro spots his papa, he races over but Ringtail hasn’t noticed him yet. (Ringtail's so cute in that cape!)

Tae: I appreciate the amazing meals and desserts you made during the Cooking Competition, Irene! Here’s a little something to thank you!

Irene: A necklace? But I don’t usually wear much jewelry.

Tae: This isn’t regular jewely, Irene. It’s only for when you’re excavating in Selvadorada. In fact, once you complete the Omiscan Artifacts collection, you can just sell it. 😀

Irene: Could you make one for Wolfie, too? Maybe a macho-looking bracelet?

Ollie: So, are we on a date tonight, Tae?

Tae: No, please notice that I invited Chiyo along, too.
Ollie. I see! You’re trying to set me up with your sister? 

Tae (sighs): No, Ollie. I wanted to treat you to a nice dinner for your great job during the Cooking Competition.

Ollie: Yeah, sure, Tae. Let’s ignore that I have amazing compatibility with both you and Chiyo!

Chiyo (to herself): Oh, I bet Tae wants to take photos of our Experimental Food meals for his collection. I can help with that! *stands and goes to the opposite end of the restaurant

Chiyo: Hey, Ollie! Come over here! I have something to show you! (What do I have that I could gift him?)

Ollie: Seriously? What, what?

Chiyo: Here, Ollie. This is for you. It’s a friendly gift!

Ollie: Huh? I’m a Geek. What the heck would I do with a Rose? *Chiyo gets the Unappreciated Gift moodlet

Chiyo (to herself): Tae, don’t say I never helped you with your collections!
