Cook-Of Day 6 and More

Tue, Fall 3 (Apr 10)

Note: Id initially set the Cook-Off to end at 2pm of Day 6. It ended at the right time but without an elimination. So I reloaded the save from the early morning of Day 6 and extended the getaway by a 7th day. The below screenshots of the Cook-Off are from my second attempt.

Carly enjoys some dancing before breakfast.

Irene (sighs): In a few hours, I’ll be back on Batuu, spying for the Resistance!
Tae: Wolfie went all out arranging your wedding at Olga’s Cantina. I’m happy for you both, Irene!

Will he be joining you at the Resistance Camp?

Irene: He’s still wrapping up his military matters in StrangerVille.

Tae: Around 10:30 am, I check on Carly and Chiyo. They’d arrived at the cooking area late this morning, so I doubt they’ll finish preparing anything today. Just as I’m wondering what to do about all the leftover food, the final elimination is announced.

The getaway ends abruptly right after that announcement; dumping Chiyo and me unceremoniously in front of our home. While examining the three uncommon species I’d added to the Habitat, I max Entomology. 🥳

I missed you, too, Sasuke! It’s great to be back home!

After sunset, I walk to the Flow and Glow Festival on Jellyfish Junction’s northern shore. Tonight’s a new moon which is when the Grim's-Head Hawkmoth apparently appears there, so I'm hoping to...Gotcha!

Next, I find Toshie at the spot downtown where I’d first met her and accept her Melody of the Geyser quest. It takes me to the Hothead Rock Geyser, where I do what needs to be done to spawn Red Admiral Butterflies.

It’s so dark and I don’t see no red butterflies at all.  After several hours looking around, I’m thinking I’ll come back tomorrow during the daytime, but then…

I see movement in the periphery of my vision.  Dude, do those butterflies look red to you or am I color blind? Whatever, you’re mine now! And there’s still time to walk Sasuke tonight!

I don’t have Juwon’s address, but he knows mine. I wonder why he doesn’t write. Is he not allowed to write me?

Watcher’s Notes:

*I wonder if I needed to extend the getaway by another day because I set Day 1 to start after the 11 am elimination (otherwise, one contestant would be eliminated after only one hour into the Day 1 Cooking phase. Anyway, the one-day extension did the trick. A Day 6 elimination took place at 11 am, as usual, then the getaway ended right afterward, without going into a seventh day.

*After Tae arrived home, I saved then visited Carly to see if she received the Refined Taste trait (like Tae and Chiyo did) or a first-place prize. I didn’t notice a new trait or anything new in her personal inventory. That's a crying shame!

*I briefly wondered if Chiyo’s performance was affected by all the perfect garden produce in her personal inventory. I decided it didn’t matter, because all the dishes prepared by the contestants were always Excellent quality.
