Day 5: Sat, Fall 15 (Apr 19)
At the breakfast table, VIvi chats up a storm, Hyunjin says very little, and Alejadnro seems like usual self.
Between breakfast and the elimination, I seek out Hyunjin and Vivi out to ask to become best friends. Hyunjin and I aren’t close enough yet, but I know we’ll be best friends someday!
Tae: The 11 am elimination chooses Hyunjin as the next to go.
Hyunjin: If only I’d focused on cooking my own meals instead of trying to raise my score dishonestly.
Hyunjin: No, Tae! Please don’t break up with me like you did with Valentina!
Tae: I came out to ask if we could be just friends. With no romance between us, I could invite you to hang out at my house. I’m sure Mia would love to see you again!
Hyunjin: I’d really like that!
Brytani: Tae, rumor has it you’re doing a Bachelor’s Challenge in my town without telling me?!
Tae: Mama, I was just about to call to invite you over to Chateau Peak. Are you free right now?
Brytani: Free as a bird! Can’t wait to meet the father or mother of my future grandchildren!
Tae: Since I’m Family-Oriented, I want to know how the two finalists get along with my family. But please, Mama, don’t bring up the topic of grandkids with them, okay?
Today’s Friendly phase activities are Be Friendly/Flirty and Play Table Games. I play Woo Who? with Vivi first.
Tae: What’s your preferred sleepwear, VIvi?
Vivi: Those white boxers with the red hearts.
Tae: And what’s your preferred food after, you know?
Vivi: Pancakes, for sure! Sweet and starchy!
Tae: Meanwhile, Alejandro is playing Simbles with my parents and Chiyo.
Alejandro (to himself): Word games are really not my strong suit. What if his parents don’t like me?
Chiyo (to herself0: We’re friends already! I approve! Time to introduce myself to Vivi.
Alejandro: Now it’s my turn to play Woo Who? With you, Tae! What’s your preferred sleepwear?
Tae: With you? Probably only headphones. (Don’t ask. I don’t understand this answer, either.)
Alejandro: Answer this next question very carefully. What kind of sim do you prefer?
Tae: I love me a handy sim!
Alejandro: Well, lucky for you, I come with the Maker trait!
Tae: Apparently, Chiyo doesn’t vibe with Vivi and they never move past acquaintances. After learning that Bernado's post-you-know-what food is pizza, I go order drinks for everyone. Chiyo dashes straight to Alejandro, ignoring me, our parents, and–most importantly–Vivi. Chiyo, I invited you here to meet both of the finalists!
Tae: And if that weren’t bad enough, Chiyo tells me she’s on the phone with Auntie Megumi who wants to know if she should get to know Alejandro. What the heck? I tell Chiyo to tell Auntie Busybody that she shouldn't do that. Who thought inviting my family over would be a good idea?
Tae: Chiyo leaves before the Friendly phase ends, but I invite my parents to stay for dinner. They don’t interact with Alejandro and Vivi at all, though, which makes dinner awkward. I try telling a group story but everyone (except Vivi) decides to gush over my Roast Chicken instead.
At 8 pm, Watcher checks my family’s MCCC logging files to check their relationship values:

Tae: Now that my parents are gone, we can relax!
Alejandro: Vivi, I think I’ll be moving soon.
VIvi: Really? Where to?
Alejandro: Hopefully, Gibbi Point!
(Watcher: Alejandro’s had that Moving thought quite often over the past two days.)
Tae: Since Alejandro and Vivi both have maxed Friendship and Romance bars, I thought I’d share their sentiments tonight. It looks to me like Vivi and I are really close, but Alejandro’s doing a better job at ramping up the va-va-voom chemistry.
Sun, Fall 16
(Somewhere in the middle of the night)
Wolfie: I knew I’d find you here alone on a Saturday night, though I hadn’t imagined you’d built a little shrine to Tae. Are those cards all from him? What happened to your Colonel Sam End-Goals, huh?
Juwon: How do you know about Col. Kimura? He’s my operations supervisor.
Wolfie: During a recent visit to StrangerVille, Tae told me all about that letter he got from you 10 days ago. So you're not with Sam? Hey, can we talk in the main room. Your love shrine creeps me out.
Juwon: How did you find me here? This is a top-secret military lab.
Wolfie: Oh, I have my ways. I’m not just a pretty face, you know.
Juwon: Can you tell me what Tae’s been up to? You know any secrets about Tae?
Wolfie: What do you think I am, a gossip?
Juwon: Please, Wolfie! I let Tae go so he could be free, but I….
Wolfie: You’re not gonna like this, but Tae’s hosting a 6-day Bachelor Challenge that ends Sunday morning.
Juwon (gasps): Tae is hosting a Bachelor Challenge? For himself?
Wolfie: Sure is. All my coworkers yak about these days is how hot all the contestants are.
Juwon (to himself): I thought I’d set Tae free so he’d realize I’m the one for him, but I think I’ve lost him for good.
Wolife: Rumor has it that, on Day 2, he asked all 5 contestants to be his romantic partner. It's caused quite a scandal. And, apparently, his partners secretly fight over Tae day and night.
Juwon (blurts): Tae and I were together nearly a year and he never asked me to his partner.
Juwon: I’m done hearing about Tae tonight. Let me phone you so we can talk about your childhood.
Wolfie: Seriously? I’m right ihere but you wanna chat on the phone? Actually, no, you’ve exceeded your nosiness limit for today, Juwon. I only stopped by to say that I mentioned StrangerVille’s recent problem to Tae and he’s planning to check it out. If you’re done playing games, you should request leave to go see him in StrangerVille.
Juwon: But how would I even find him?
Wolfie: Oh, c’mon, Juwon. Everyone looking for info ends up at the 8 Bells bar.
Back at Del Sol Valley: Bachelor Challenge - Day 6
Vivi: What are your plans after this getaway ends, Tae?
Tae: First, I need to go home and give all my furry friends smooches and hugs. After that, a friend of mine mentioned some trouble in a town called StrangerVille, so I’m gonna check that out.
VIvi: Really, StrangerVille? I moved there about a week before this getaway started. Look me up. Uh, Tae? You discover you’re attracted to me 75 minutes before the final elimination? Great timing! *gives Tae her address anyway
Tae: And you, Alejandro?
Alejandro: I moved to Oasis Springs from Rio several days before the getaway started so I need to finish unpacking and fix the house up. Depending on the elimination’s outcome today, though, I have a few options.
At 11 am on the dot, Nigel pops up to announce the getaway has ended and describes all the rewards that I never got. But more importantly, learn that Alejandro won the Bachelor Challenge! What exactly does that mean for the two of us? Where do we go from here? Oh, my heart! Nobody’s ever made me feel the way Alejandro does!
