Sun, Fall 16 (Apr 20)
Tae: I arrive home at exactly 11 am and find three new Flirty Potions in my personal inventory.
In the house, Chiyo’s on speaker phone wth Auntie Megumi, discussing Alejandro as if it’s any of their business! And Chiyo, I’m really disappointed in you. I hear you unsuccessfully tried to extort my bestie Cebolla! Just paint something and list it on Plopsy, why don’t you?
I wait until 5 pm for Alejandro to text, call, or visit. But then, I cave and invite him on a Get-to-Know-You Date at the Cadenza Lounge in Oasis Springs. We discover we’re Very Attracted to each after all.
As our date nears its end, I flirt harder with Alejandro, hoping he’ll ask to extend the date and maybe take it to his house.
He pops a question all right. Not what I’d expected but I’m not exactly surprised. I can’t help saying yes, but explain that it would be a temporary arrangement as we see how compatble we are on an everyday basis. It’s New Skill Day so I take him to his new home so he can start on some skills.
Mon, Fall 17
Tae: Thanks for your help getting the garden back in shape!
Alejandro: I discovered I love gardening. No surprise since I love the outdoors.
Tae: Well, you ready to leave with me for StrangerVille now?
Alejandro: I’ve never even heard of the place before, but sure. Will it be exciting?
Tae: Not at first, but I hope it eventually turns into a real adventure! Also, I have a circle of besties that I want you to meet, but after our StrangerVille visit. I hope they don't think I'm ignoring them.
VIvi: I live in a large VIctorian up the hill. I don’t understand why you…and Alejandro...can’t stay with me. Is it awkward for you two because I’m still Very Attracted to you, Tae?
Tae: We already talked about this on the phone, Vivi. This vacation rental in front of the bar is conveniently located for our StrangerVille stay. (Plus, it has two bedrooms, so Alejandro and I have the choice of sharing a bedroom or not, unlike at Vivi's house.) Vivi (to herself): Huh, Alejandro doesn't know that Tae never asked me to be just friends. Hmmmm.
Tae: First stop is the StrangerVille Info Center where I talk with everyone there about StrangerVille.
Watcher: I renovated all the lots in StrangerVille Plaza for a legacy challenge two years ago, so I’m using those builds again here, except for Old Penelope.
Dylan Sigworth and I are already friends (we’re both Family-Oriented), but I meet his wife Jess for the first time today. Is something wrong with her? By the way, can you spot Alejandro back there, playing chess with Mayor Roswell?
Alejandro: What do you need from this curio shop, Tae?
Tae: Well, I want to hear my friend Erwin’s thoughts about StrangerVille and I also want to buy some surveillance bugs, a StrangerVille poster, and a Bizarre Fruit.
Alejandro: That’s a Bizarre Fruit? I want to buy one, too!
Alejandro: I wonder what this tastes like.
Tae: Nooooo, the scientists here are still experimenting on it. Don’t eat it.
Alejandro: Too late.
Tae: We’re not married but “in sickness and in health,” right? *eats one, too
Watcher: Apparently, Tae and Alejandro are possessed for the next three hours, so I guide them to the Secret Lab's Sealed Door. Of course, Tae can’t examine it because he’s possessed. Why didn't I know that?
Watcher: I have them sit on the front porch until their possession wears off. To my horror, that wretched Valentina shows up on some feeble pretext and I watch helplessly as she waltzes inside the house, uninvited. I learn that, when they’re possessed, I can’t even use MCCC to Make Sim Leave. *cries
(We kick her out as soon as Tae's no longer possessed!)
When they're back to normal, Tae returns to the Secret Lab to collect evidence. At 1 am, however, just as Tae's about to finish hacking a computer for evidence, he and Alejandro are possessed again. The possession normally occurs from 1 am to 4 am, so I guess the three-hour possession after they ate the Bizarre Fruit was a “bonus possession.”
Anyway, thus ends their first day in StrangerVille.
Watcher’s Notes:
*Tae and Alejandro's Attraction: I discovered that Alejandro didn't have many Likes/Dislikes or Turn Ons/Turn Offs set so I set those. Tae had gained so many skills and preferred Sim characters over the weeks that I deleted a few and added two Turn Ons to fit Alejandro. :D
*When Alejandro asked to live together, Tae jumped at the chance. It won't make the StrangerVille Mystery much easier to complete, but Tae can get to know Alejandro better while still exploring his options. I'm thinking of the two as "romantic housemates," lol.
*I'd never played an Infected sim before, so I wanted to try it with Tae and (since he asked to move in at such a timely moment) Alejandro. The one benefit of possession is that they emerge from their possession with their needs completely filled. I think I have the hang of this whole possession thing now, lol.
