Spring 9, Monday (March 9)

Sasuke: Being amazing is exhausting!

Tae: I need to mentor for 3 hours. Don’t you want to become a Nerd Brain? Juwon: I want to do Insta-Upgrades, but I’m not feeling chess this morning. Tae: Fine, use the candy maker and I’ll mentor you in Cooking. Juwon: Oops, I maxed Cooking. Tae: Already? I still need another hour. C’mon, I’ll mentor you in Gardening.

Meet the new Heart & Soul staff! I hired Jade cuz she waas a great pottery class student.
After taking my pottery class, Romeo visited me a few times since we have amazing compatibility and now we're besties. Duh, check out Romeo's skills! And Juwon needs no introduction, right?.

I need to teach five hobby classes to reach Master Mentor’s 4th (last) milestone, so I teach two pottery classes today, each drawing five attendees. Now that Juwon's a housemate, I ask him to mentor one of my attendees to see if his mentoring knocks off my class mentoring goal. Nope, I gotta do it myself.

Since Romeo has L10 Cooking, I rearranged the first class area last night with display cases to hold lollipops and jelly beans.  It’s slow going and Romeo always places his finished sweets in the employee lounge. I can’t tell if the sweets are selling, so I ask Juwon to mentor Romeo in Flower Arranging for 3-4 hours. (Watcher: I used MCCC to check Romeo's Flower Arranging skill later and it was L10. Maybe he can teach it once Tae's done with both B&H aspirations?)

I offer 2 pottery classes and here’s the final report for the day. Growth Opportunity/Pricing suggests that I lower my prices, but my Ticket Modifier is already at 0%. I’m not cheating down my skills to lower the cost of classes and mentoring.  Maybe we could offer less expensive wares?

Spring 10, Tuesday

Tae: Hey, Sasuke, look at us! We’re having an Abbey Road moment!
Sasuke: Hardly! First, we’re walking in the wrong direction. Secondly, we’re not wearing suits!
Tae: Spoil all the fun, why don’t you?

We won’t be crafting many §6k flower arrangements for Heart & Soul anymore. Instead, we’re shifting to a variety of very affordable wedding bouquets. The candy isn’t a money-maker but perhaps it attracts customers who end up crafting, taking a class, or buying something else.

Today, I finally manage to offer classes in flower arranging. When I start the first class, two sims are already using the flower arranging tables, but they don't join my class. Ended up a class of three.

But the same 3 stay for my 2nd class and are joined by two more sims. Yay! Gavin RIchards gives me the best compliment! Maybe Honey would like to swap Jade for Gavin? Jade is my hardest-working employee!

Here’s the final report for my two flower arranging classes. Net profits were around §3k higher yesterday (10 students) than today (8 students). I need to pay attention to my timing for starting classes. One more hobby class to teach tomorrow and I’ll reach Master Mentor’s 4th (and last) milestone. This aspiration is a lot of work!

Watcher’s notes: *It's been a very time-consuming process on my part to figure out how to get everyone's business to work properly.

*The Master Mentor aspiration is, as you know, mostly about attending and running classes. My apologies for all my discussion and screenshots related to classes. Tae will be done with Master Mentor in a couple of sim-days then his life will hopefully return to normal. Sasuke awaits the day!
