Distractions (with the Fur)

Summer 13, Fri (Mar 31)

Tae: While Chiyo’s viewing art at the Willow Creek Art Museum, Sasuke and I become companions!

Back home, I craft Age-Up Treats for our soon-to-arrive kitties!

Chiyo: Lecturing Mia whenever she jumps on a counter or table (which is constantly) is negatively affecting our friendship. When I give it a rest for a while, I can become companions with Mia. 

Sasuke: But I want to reach gold rank!

Tae: I want that for you, too, Sasuke, but you’re still too slow. It's my fault, too. We'll do more training after we move. Good job finishing in under an hour! That's twice as fast as your first try!

Tae: All my friends are throwing awesome birthday parties and I’d planned to throw one for Chiyo and me, too. But Chiyo and I are holding our breaths, waiting for Mia to give birth.

To kill time, I’ve been exploring space. Mia goes into labor just as I find my last space alien.

Chiyo: Kitties incoming! Well, that’s one way to complete the Friend of the Animals aspiration’s “Become friends with five pets” goal.

Two female kitties that look  like Bengals, one male raccoon, and one female raccoon. How can they be so adorable!?!?!?

Tae: I name the male raccoon “Zorro” (left) and decide to keep him for a while. *coughs I name the female Nyanko because “meow” in Japanese is “nyan” plus “ko” is a common suffix for Japanese girls’ names. Papa, who lives alone in Verdemar now, mentioned wanting a cat, so I’ll have one of my Ondarion friends take Nyanko to him later today.

Tae: The two Bengal females are also too cute.

Tae: Mia is incredibly stingy about sharing what’s hers but always happy for other pets to share their food. Just now, I stop her from eating out of a  kitty’s bowl. Mia’s already had her own kibble and a Gourmet pet meal this morning.

Chiyo: During Ringtail’s visit yesterday, I made gourmet pet meals for Ringtail, Mia, and Sasuke. Chatting with Tae, we realized that Mia had eaten all three servings.

Tae: I let Jace choose his kitty first and he chooses the Bengal on the left. I’m sure Jace’ll tell you all about her soon. I choose the Bengal on the right, so I’ll have a mini-Mia when Chiyo and Mia eventually move out. I name the kitty “Kali,” after the Hindhu goddess of time, change, destruction, and power. Uh, maybe I should name her Angel instead?

Tae: As you can see, I’ve been diligently packing everything in preparation for moving as soon as we age up tonight. I’m definitely NOT following the kitties around with hearts in my eyes, wondering how they can be so darn cute! That’s Mia with Zorro.

Tae: Around 9 pm, Rowan comes over to visit me, but Chiyo intercepts him and asks him to mentor her in writing.  I’ll just sit next to Chiyo to make there’s no inappropriate mentoring. 

Rowan: You’ll never gonna let me live that down, will you? It was an honest misunderstanding!

Tae: Rowan leaves just before midnight, then Chiyo and I age up to young adults.

Hey, Watcher! You’ve been following the kittens around all day today, too! I bet you're not even finished getting our house in Gibbi Point ready yet. Watcher: Busted.

Tae: Please, please, go wrap that up so we can move in ASAP!

*The post title refers to the line from Flo Rida’s song “Low”: Shawy had them Apple Bottom jeans (with the fur).  I guess it’s not funny if I have to explain it.
*The game limits pet offspring to 3 maximum, but I used MCCC to increase that limit to 4.
