Talking ‘bout Black & White Things

Winter 10, Wednesday (Feb 25)

Nobody wants to attend a New Year’s Eve party on my last day of winter, because it coincides with everyone’s last night before moving to Nordhaven on Sunday. So I’m throwing a Black & White Bash today instead! First to arrive are Irene and Jace. Looking classy, you two!

My next guests are Kaho Takada (Juwon’s roommate in Wakaba) and Kristen, both looking elegantly stylish.

I mingle with the guests, discussing black and white things as I make the rounds. As usual, Honey raves about her Corgi, Maple. Cebolla and Irene also recently adopted pets and, once we’ve all moved to Nordhaven,  I’m looking forward to meeting Maple, Cebolla’s racoon Ringtail, and Irene’s pug Louie. That’s Wolfie on my right, looking over at Irene.

Something’s wrong at the picnic table. Everyone near it gets the Stinky Boot moodlet but I can’t find any spoiled food around it. Do I need to clean the table?

Tae: Cebolla, what are you up to? Please don’t move your hand any closer to my thigh or you’ll...Wait, I know what you really want!
Cebolla: You do?

Tae: Absolutely! And I can give it to you right now!

Cebolla (blushes): Uh, you can? Wait, no...!

Tae: Here’s the racoon vase I crafted for you!

Cebolla: Oh, I was wondering when you'd give it to me! I love it! (Note to self: Tae isn’t as innocent as he looks)

Tae: Love you, Cebolla, but I see Lilith over there fuming and need to go calm her down.

Rowan, our resident loner, is looking tense from being around so many people. After we discuss mental relaxation techniques, he’s back to feeling happy. Nice 'fit, Rowan!

I have no idea what Carly and Honey are chatting about. Did Honey see an army tank during her recent visit with Brother Tate in StrangerVille? Is Carly thinking about Cebolla’s soon-to-open cafe in Nordhaven?

And now Wolfie’s looking angry. Is he annoyed because he’s a young adult surrounded by teenagers? I brighten his day then go find Irene to tell her Wolfie would love her company right now. (So much mood management at this party!)

My first Black & White Bash ends with a gold medal but most of the guests look pretty bored.  Except for Kristen who enthusiastically raises both arms in the air to cheer. Kristen, you’re one of us now. You’re always welcome to my home and my parties!
